Fortnum & Mason Wedding – A London Wedding At St Georges Church
Table of Contents
In the heart of London, this Fortnum & Mason Wedding demonstrated quintessential British tradition with a Church of England, ceremony and luxurious hospitality in the acclaimed Fortnum and Mason London store. This love story unfolded at St George’s Church, leaving us in awe as we embarked on a photographic journey with Stephanie & Christopher. This celebration, meticulously planned down to the last detail, showcased the union of two souls in a setting that epitomized sophistication and grandeur.
St George’s Church Ceremony
I love a London wedding, and the day commenced with a radiant ceremony at St George’s Church, an archetypal Church of England venue that exudes an air of timeless charm. The church provided a breathtaking backdrop for the exchange of vows, with only the patter of rain in the background of the vicar’s sermon. I really wanted to focus on capturing every emotional moment, from the bride’s graceful entrance with her father at her side, to the couple’s joyous exit as newlyweds.
Following the heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds, along with their closest friends and family, jumped into a limousine to Piccadilly to arrive for their Fortnum & Mason Wedding reception. there, they held an intimate gathering in a private kitchen, where the chef prepared canapés right in front of the guests. The cozy atmosphere and elegant surroundings made for a perfect transition from the sacred to the celebratory. We seized the opportunity to document candid moments, capturing the laughter, tears, and heartfelt embraces that defined this intimate part of the celebration.
Fortnum & Mason Wedding Reception – A Culmination of Grandeur
We shot the group photographs on the stairway of the famed department store, along with a couple of photographs, just on the side streets of London, ducking and diving in between the summer showers. I was really pleased with the indoor portraits we photographed on the stairway also, and we got a couple of great candid shots as Stephanie and Christopher entered the building.
As the light faded over London, the festivities continued at the Drawing Room at Fortnum & Mason, and guests were treated to an elegant fine-dining experience. The Drawing Room, with its regal ambiance and panoramic views, served as the perfect canvas for an evening of celebration. I was delighted to be served the most amazing mushroom wellington, I have ever eaten, as well as a very small cheeky glass of Bacchus, one of my favourite English White Wines.
Jazz Serenade at the Fortnum & Mason Wedding
Against this opulent backdrop, I trend my lights and cameras to documented the couple’s first dance, the heartfelt toasts, and the joyous mingling of guests.
Entertainment took center stage as a talented jazz singer, Jennifer Coy and her accompanying pianist, serenaded the guests, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and charm. The musical duo’s soulful tunes resonated through the Drawing Room, providing a harmonious soundtrack to the couple’s love story. The dance floor came alive with graceful moves and heartfelt embraces, all beautifully captured in treasured photographs.
The Fortnum & Mason wedding we had the privilege to photograph was stunning. From the historic St George’s Church to the grandeur of Fortnum & Mason, every location played a pivotal role in creating lasting memories. The couple’s choice of a Church of England ceremony, the luxurious limousine ride, and the enchanting jazz entertainment all came together to craft a celebration that was a true reflection of their love and commitment. As a professional wedding photographer, it was an honour to be part of such a splendid affair, preserving moments that will be cherished for a lifetime.
