Capturing the Magic: A Pangdean Barn Autumn Wedding
My latest Pangdean Barn autumn wedding (I’ve photographed a fair few in my career so far). Autumn weddings hold a special charm, and Abbie & Jack’s beautiful Pangdean Barn Autumn Wedding was wonderful. Set against the rustic elegance of Pangdean Old Barn in Brighton, their day was filled with warmth, love, and picture-perfect moments.
Pangdean Old Barn, a historic venue nestled in the South Downs, provided the perfect backdrop for Abbie & Jack’s big day. The 18th-century barn exuded charm with its exposed beams, neutral-toned décor, and countryside views, complementing their autumnal wedding theme beautifully. The couple opted for rustic country decorations featuring warm pinks, greens, and seasonal florals from Pitfield Barn in Hurstpierpoint, enhancing the cosy and intimate feel of the venue.
To harmonize with the seasonal beauty of autumn, Abbie’s bouquet was a delightful mix of pinks, purples, and creams, capturing the essence of fall blooms. Their décor included photo boards in the courtyard, rustic wooden details, and soft candlelight, making the venue feel incredibly inviting.

Their three beloved dogs were also present at the ceremony, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to the event. Their bride and groom shots with their dogs captured the pure joy and love they shared, making for unforgettable memories.
The ceremony was held inside the barn, under the twinkiling blanket of fairy lights adorner in the rafters of Pangdean Barn. We nipped outside for some group phoots by the Mulberry Tree and grabbed a few shots around the gardens of Pangdean and at the foot of the South Downs. When the heavens opened, we got a couple of fantastic rain photos before darting back inside for the wedding reception.
Pangdean Barn Autumn Wedding Reception
Wedding guests gathered inside the barn for a cosy wedding breakfast, speeches, and a delicious two-tiered buttercream cake adorned with desiccated coconut. Later in the evening, the festivities took a lively turn with a traditional Ceilidh band, inviting everyone to the dance floor for an evening of joyful celebration. Instead of a traditional first dance, Abbie & Jack kicked off the Ceilidh dancing together, ensuring a night of energetic and laughter-filled entertainment.
Every moment of Abbie & Jack’s Pangdean Barn Autumn Wedding was beautifully documented, from the intimate getting-ready shots at Tottington Manor to the vibrant evening celebration. Their choice of seasonal décor, heartfelt personal touches, and the stunning countryside setting made their wedding truly unique. If you’re dreaming of a rustic autumn wedding, Pangdean Barn offers the perfect blend of historic charm and breathtaking scenery, creating an unforgettable experience for couples and guests alike.
