I’m a reportage wedding photographer providing wedding photography in East & West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, London, and the whole of Southern England. I photograph weddings using a creative and fun approach to help you feel comfortable whilst being photographed. I work in a subtle and discreet way, shooting candid wedding photography and capturing things as they happen throughout the day.

I shoot a mixture of candid and reportage wedding photography, but I’m happy for you to take a creative lead when you want to, and we’ll work together to create images you’ll love that will make you smile for years to come. I don’t mind lining up the family for some more formal shots too and will capture all the details of your big day whilst you spend time with your guests and loved ones. I will be happy to chat to you about timings of the day and offer any advice you need about your wedding photography and can recommend some great suppliers, depending on your style of wedding.

Your wedding is unique, and although reportage wedding photography should be a part of the day it shouldn’t interfere with the rest of your wedding plans. A good reportage wedding photographer will work together with you to get beautiful pictures of you both, capturing all the details of your wedding day as well as getting the family together for a few formal (or informal) group shots.

As a reportage wedding photographer, I always want my couples to have plenty of time with their wedding guests, whilst I capture all of your wedding details and those candid, intimate moments of happiness between you both and your wedding guests.

For photographs of the two of you, I look for photo opportunities and locations around your wedding venue, and then place you in a gorgeous place for the perfect composition. I always aim avoid any awkwardness of posing for photos, and to make things relaxed and informal, and I generally shoot from further away with a telephoto lens, to make you feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

I look to place you against a beautiful backdrop, and then get you to just do your own thing and enjoy each other’s company; encouraging laughter, tender moments and a bit of silliness for natural shots and beautiful smiles. A great reportage wedding photographer can capture moments that feel authentic because the moment IS authentic, a fleeting moment captured timelessly by a reportage wedding photographer.

It’s important for me that you feel relaxed and everything feels natural and candid in your wedding photography. I definitely won’t order you around or pose you like a supermodel, but I will make small changes to the pose or photograph to ensure you look incredible in your wedding photographs.

Relaxed, Natural Wedding Photography

We’ll plan your wedding photography into the schedule of the day, and I’ll be keeping an eye on the light and the weather, and when golden hour begins or perhaps, we get a quick downpour, I’ll capture awesome photographs of you both together in an amazing atmosphere.

I love being a wedding photographer and using predominantly natural light wherever possible, but I also use flash and studio lighting to ensure excellent exposure as well as for capturing indoor wedding photographs, shots in wet weather, creative opportunities at night and the first dance. I love the amazing light at the golden hour or sunset, but I enjoy working in challenging wet weather too!
