This Kent Engagement Photo Shoot was shot in Hawkhurst, near the wedding venue that Lotti and Tom will be getting married at later this year. After a brief walk around the venue to get our bearings for photography of the wedding day, we took a walk across a couple of fields in Hawhurst for this engagement shoot in the Kent countryside.
It was really muddy, we actually used quite a few edges of fields and gates where we could have a bit of a lean against something sturdy to support us in the uneven terrain! But this is a great posing technique, allowing Lotti & Tom to relax against each other, have a bit of a cuddle and giggle whilst I shot some images with longer lenses. The winter light was kind to us, the sun popping out between clouds passing over to add some dimension to these images.
Kent Countryside Engagement Shoot
This small hill was surprisingly good as a location to use the drama of the clouds passing over and some negative space for these shots.
For our final location for the shoot, we had a small walk in some woodland for these engagement photos. The sunlight shining through the trees gave us some great atmosphere and texture in the trees in the background. A fallen tree made for a great little sitting location for some final tender moments between Lotti & Tom.
