Rebecca & Matthew’s Romantic Celebration at a West Sussex Wedding Venue – A Highley Manor Wedding

A West Sussex Wedding Venue

Tucked away in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, Rebecca and Matthew’s wedding was a stunning example of how to blend elegance, personality, and relaxed charm at a classic West Sussex wedding venueHighley Manor. Surrounded by rolling hills, character-filled interiors, and gardens full of spring greenery, their celebration was a joy to capture.

An Outdoor West Sussex Wedding Ceremony Full of Emotion

The couple planned for an outdoor ceremony, with the venue’s indoor hall as a backup. Thankfully, the weather was awesome for their heartfelt vows under the open sky, with family and friends gathered around. Rebecca got ready with the help of her mum and bridesmaids, with her father coming in for a reveal just before the ceremony and who later walked her down the aisle—an emotional moment in an already touching day.

We started the morning at the West Sussex Wedding Venue in the getting ready suite before moving upstairs for bridal portraits in a more elegant space, using soft light and timeless surroundings to capture those final moments before the ceremony.

Sage, Pink & Lilac Wedding Styling

This West Sussex venue was brought to life with a dreamy palette of sage, pink, and lilac. Rebecca and Matthew opted for artificial bouquets and buttonholes, along with handcrafted table decorations—green and pink florals arranged around candles inside lanterns. Inside the wedding breakfast hall, draped fabric and fairy light wall behind the top table added to the romantic, softly-lit atmosphere.

Games & Entertainment in the Garden

Their day struck the perfect balance between elegant and fun. Guests enjoyed classic garden games—cornhole, frisbee, and quoits—set up in the venue’s outdoor space. Pre-set Spotify playlists set the tone from the ceremony through to dinner, before the evening kicked off with a DJ and karaoke, bringing a vibrant energy to the dancefloor.

A Statement Cake with a Sweet Twist

The couple’s two-tier pink and white ombre cake was a showstopper, both stylish and sentimental. Displayed beautifully in the West Sussex Wedding Venue reception space, it was a sweet centrepiece that complemented the colour scheme perfectly.

Personal Touches Throughout the Day

From the thoughtful choice of artificial flowers to keep as keepsakes, to the cosy glow of lantern candles throughout the venue, Rebecca and Matthew made sure every detail felt personal and intentional. After touching speeches and lots of laughter, we wrapped up the evening with a mix of colour and a few timeless black and white photos—perfectly capturing the emotions of the day.

Thanks to an Incredible Team

A special shout-out to Lucie Bony, the West Sussex Wedding Venue coordinator at Highley Manor, who ensured everything ran seamlessly. And a huge thank-you to Rebecca and Matthew for trusting us to document such a meaningful celebration at one of the most charming wedding venues in West Sussex.
