Your Highley Manor Wedding is guaranteed to be amazing! Highley Manor is an exclusive-use wedding venue nestled in the picturesque Sussex countryside. With breathtaking views and elegant interiors, it offers endless magical photo opportunities for your special day. This Sussex wedding venue is perfect for an intimate wedding with a little bit of everything, stunning views across the High Weald and South Downs of Sussex, ornate staircases and beautiful architecture and it even has an enchanted secret garden that’s illuminated beautifully at night.
The gazebo offers a stunning spot for your wedding ceremony and it’s positioned with stunning views across the countryside as the backdrop for your wedding vows.

Highley Manor gained much of its fame and intrigue during the glamorous 1920s. Rumour has it that Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII), entertained Mrs Simpson at the manor. During World War II, the estate served as a base for the Canadian Army before being carefully restored by its owner, Mr Bruce Stewart.
Today, Highley Manor stands as a stunning country house hotel, exclusively dedicated to weddings. It remains a captivating reminder of the rich history and timeless charm that define this remarkable estate.

Highley Manor Wedding Photo Locations
The Gazebo is great for the wedding ceremony, but it is a firm favourite for couples photographs and as a backdrop for the group photographs. Its positioning means that the sun won’t be on your faces so there’s no squinting in the shots and the arches frame the shots nicely. It’s also useful later at night or in wet weather for some dramatic shots with artificial lighting.

The secret garden is a newer addition to the venue, and it’s really useful for a bit of alone time with your partner towards the end of the day. The lighting is stunning, and there’s a quint little bench for you to cosy up together under the festoon lighting.

The countryside slopes down away from the venue, opening up into a wild field of long grasses, wildflowers and golden hour lighting really makes this part of the venue shine. There’s a great view over the Sussex countryside, and the trees offer a good foreground interest in the photo, and in autumn the colours of the trees are beautiful. There’s a lot of coniferous trees in the landscape too, so even in the winter months, there’s some interest and depth in the background of the shots. The sun sets behind the fields, offering some stunning photo opportunities for the couple, and there’s a fallen tree which works well for a sitting shot.

The facade and architecture of the building also offer some great photo locations, there are steps up to the side of the building which offer a pleasant background and the couple will be framed by the ornate windows and shrubs, allowing the wedding dress to flow down the steps. The front door is also beautiful, with some couple s opting to have their group photos in front of the building, and some decorate the entrance with flowers a foliage.

The swing is a lovely feature for this venue for a couple of fun photos together, it’s also great for shots with children too!

There’s also an ornate staircase inside, and of course, a stunning dining room that’s lit well with large windows and chandeliers. The white ceiling is a stunning feature that adds grandeur to your wedding breakfast, and this room is turned around in the evening for the first dance.
