A beautiful Wotton House Autumn Wedding – When it comes to creating everlasting memories of your special day, few venues rival the charm and beauty of Wotton House near Dorking in Surrey. What made this Wotton House Autumn Wedding perfect for me as a photographer, is that we had gorgeous sunshine throughout most of the day, but the promise of rain later in the evening for some great rainy wedding photographs!

Wotton House Autumn Wedding Ceremony – A Palette of Autumnal Elegance

Picture this: the lush greenery of Surrey’s countryside melding seamlessly with the rich tones of autumn. The bride and groom envisioned a colour scheme that embraced the warmth of the season – peach and orange hues interwoven with touches of emerald green. As the bridesmaids glided down the aisle in their elegant emerald green dresses, they added a vibrant contrast to the autumnal backdrop.

Every corner of Wotton House was adorned with exquisite autumnal décor, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable celebration. Fairy light flower arches adorned the ceiling, casting a soft, ethereal glow over the ceremony. Candles in tall vases lined the aisle, their flickering flames adding a touch of intimacy and romance.

Musical Harmony in the Wedding reception

Guests were enchanted as they sipped their cocktails amidst the melodies of a pianist, basking in the joyous ambiance and surprisingly good weather for October. We shot our group photographs of the lawns near the Italian Gardens, before exploring the wondrous grounds of Wotton House for our couple portraits. We also shot at the front of the building, and captured a few shots at golden hour too.

Sweet Sentiments and Delicious Delights

Breakfast tables were adorned with charming flower boxes and whimsical pumpkins, creating a rustic yet elegant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the season.

Guests were treated to an array of delightful surprises throughout the evening, including scratch cards as wedding favours – a playful touch that added an element of excitement to the festivities. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance – the wedding cake! A true work of art, with a marble base adorned with sugar flowers and miniature pumpkins for seasonal whimsy, it was almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.

Just before the first dance, we popped out into some pretty thunderous rain, escaping back to the Italian Gardens for some shelter from the rain to capture some fantastic photos in the downpour. The heavier the rain, the better the shots, and hats off to Chloe & Ben for embracing the weather!

And when the evening celebrations commenced, a lively band took the stage, ensuring that the dance floor remained alive with energy and excitement throughout the night. As the night drew to a close and the newlyweds bid farewell to their loved ones, one thing was abundantly clear – this was a wedding that embraced the seasonal splendor of autumn in all its glory. From the vibrant colour palette to the enchanting décor and heartfelt touches, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere of warmth, love, and celebration.
