Trafalgar Tavern Wedding: Juliet & Freddy’s Beautiful Autumnal London Wedding

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding

This Trafalgar Tavern Wedding stands as a timeless monument to love and celebration, and how a London wedding in Greenwich can be a fantastic celebration. Its majestic halls and panoramic views of the River Thames provide an idyllic backdrop for an unforgettable Trafalgar Tavern wedding. Recently, we had the pleasure of attending a truly enchanting wedding at this iconic venue, where every detail was meticulously curated to perfection.

The bridal preparations began down the road at The Mitre, Greenwich, with my assistant shooting the groom prep photos at the venue and grabbing a few shots around the Cutty Sark. The guys had fun participating in a small horse race and larking about before the wedding ceremony, whilst the bride and bridesmaids stopped off for a quick drink downstairs at the pub before they hopped into a classic black cab to get to the Trafalgar Tavern Wedding.

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Ceremony

The air was filled with the scent of autumnal flowers, and the rich hues of burnt orange and dark green adorned every corner, setting the stage for a celebration of love that was as elegant as it was charming.

The ceremony itself was a sight to behold. Against a backdrop of lush greenery and delicate bud vases, the bride, resplendent in a white gown, walked down the aisle alongside her father, and her bouquet was a stunning testament to the beauty of the season. Her bridesmaids, dressed in dark green, accompanied her with grace and poise, their presence adding to the enchantment of the moment.

As the couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt civil ceremony, it was clear that every detail had been carefully considered. We arranged for the guests to line up through the ceremony room and along the stairwell to shower our newlyweds as they led their guests out onto the pub terrace for a large group photo of everyone.

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Reception

Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a sumptuous reception, complete with a delectable two-tier cake adorned with cascading autumnal flowers. Creamy buttercream icing adorned the tiers, adding a touch of elegance to the affair. I loved the Game of Thrones table names, something my wife and I were very tempted by for our wedding. And for those with a penchant for cheese, a towering six-tier celebration cake awaited, a true feast for the senses. Guests were delighted to receive mini packs of personalised love hearts as favours, a sweet memento of a truly unforgettable celebration.

For some shots after the speeches, we had a bit of fun using the balcony to capture the Thames at night, and got some great photos of the city skyline and the O2 arena in the background. Trafalgar Tavern also has an insane amount of flag bunting overhanging the pub garden, and this looks beautiful at night, lit up with festoon lighting!

Throughout the evening, the sounds of laughter and joy filled the air as guests mingled and danced to the tunes of a live band. The first dance, a magical moment shared by the newlyweds, and as Freddy lifted Juliet for their twirl, we got some great shots of this spontaneous dance move!

In every way, the Trafalgar Tavern wedding was a testament to the beauty of love and the power of thoughtful planning. From the exquisite decor to the heartfelt vows exchanged, it was a day that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of attending.
