Buxted Park Hotel Wedding Photography: A Golden Hour Dream – Kizzie & Charlie

Nestled in the heart of East Sussex, Buxted Park Hotel is an emblem of grandeur and charm, an ideal backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony. I had the delightful opportunity to capture a spectacular outdoor civil wedding on the grand lawns of this iconic venue. I’ve shot here a couple of times beforehand I love this wedding from almost ten years ago: RICHARD & DANIELLE’S BUXTED PARK WEDDING

From ethereal veil shots during the golden hour to joyous dance steps, this Buxted Park Hotel wedding was truly one for the books.

Buxted Park Hotel Wedding – Marrying Amidst History

The ceremony took place on the majestic ‘Cote of Arms’ lawn, a verdant stretch in front of the imposing, Palladian hotel building. Opting for a non-religious, heartfelt ceremony, the couple’s vows echoed against the historic walls, resonating with promises of forever.

Colour Palette: A Nod to Nature

Yellow and green took center stage, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings of Buxted Park Hotel. Sunflowers and grasses made up the bulk of the floral arrangements, beautifully encapsulating the joy and vibrancy of the late Spring wedding day.

Dreamy Photographs: Buxted Park Hotel Wedding – Veils, Buildings, and Countrysides

As the sun cast its golden hue, we ventured out to capture some truly mesmerizing shots. The bride’s wedding veil, caught in the gentle breeze, made a real impact on the composition of one of my favourite shots. The iconic Buxted Park Hotel building and the panoramic countryside acted as timeless backdrops, adding a touch of classic elegance to every shot.

Celebratory Notes: Dance, Cake, and Merriment

The reception was filled with lively tunes from a 4-piece band that kept the guests tapping their feet. The highlight? A heartwarming first dance, followed by the cutting of a delectable 3-tiered buttercream cake adorned with yellow flowers.

Wedding Details That Stole The Show:

  • Games on the Lawn: Guests enjoyed traditional lawn games such as Croquet and Badminton, adding a touch of playful nostalgia to the day.
  • Rustic Décor: The tables boasted centre logs with jam jars filled with flowers. To add a whimsical touch, wine bottles twinkled with fairy lights.
  • Special Touches: In a nod to their love for nature, guests were gifted packets of seeds as wedding favours. A perfect keepsake to remember the day as they watch love grow.
  • Vintage Ride: The groom arrived in style in a 1929 Rolls Royce, exuding timeless elegance.

A Buxted Park Hotel wedding promises grandeur, history, and unmatched elegance. This wedding, with its outdoor ceremony, golden hour portraits, and heartwarming moments, was a testament to the magic that unfolds in such a setting.
