This Family Photoshoot in South London was taken just after lockdown restrictions were eased in England for the first time since the pandemic affected us all. We had to grab a quick doorstep portrait before heading out to the local park of Hilly Fields.

A short walk from Brockley, Hilly Fields offered a lovely natural setting to capture candid portraits of the children. The family has bought along bubbles and toys for the kids to interact with, and the beautiful weather meant that we got some great photographs.

Audrey was the star of our photoshoot, having her toddler photos taken (scroll down) in the studio before the outdoor shoot. This log in the shade was a great spot for a few more informal family photos, and just opposite, we got a couple of more formal shots standing in the shade of the trees.

This small glade of longer grass was great to keep us cool on a warm summer’s day, and provided some soft, natural lighting for some more candid portraits of the children.

Audrey had her photos taken in the studio in a similar style to the old photographs of their grandmother. The idea is to recreate the contact sheet, and give it the same sepia toning the original contact sheet now has.
