Joanna & George’s St Mary’s Church wedding in Amersham. I seem to be doing quite a bit of Wedding Photography in Buckinghamshire over the next few months, one will be at Latimer Park House, where Joanna & her bridesmaids got ready for this Amersham wedding. The hotel room was gorgeous, with a large wardrobe for hanging up the wedding dress and as a backdrop for Joanna and the bridesmaids doing their last minute touches.
St Mary’s Church, Amersham
Amersham is a beautiful location in Buckinghamshire, a quaint village that’s perfect for a quintessentially English wedding, with a beautiful memorial garden, complete with Union flag bunting. The ceremony at St Mary’s Church was wonderful, and luckily, the church allows for a bit of movement during the ceremony, allowing me to discreetly capture shots form the front and rear of the service.
After the ceremony, we got a couple of photographs outside St Mary’s Church, with their Ivory Rolls Royce and of course, some confetti outside the church door. We captured a couple of shots of the bride and groom in the village garden, as well as the group photographs before heading to the Amersham Cricket Club at Shardeloes. Wedding reception photography in Buckinghamshire
This English country wedding was decorated with some rustic wooden signs, bunting, and even some vintage railway postcards for the table names, and of course, some live cricket on the green outside the marquee. The surrounding fields and woodland on the border of the cricket ground were great for some countryside wedding photography in Buckinghamshire. The sunset was really dramatic and some off camera flash helped balance the exposure in the field against the colourful clouds. Joanna & George were great to work with and I look forward to seeing them again at future weddings!
Joanna & George had supplied handmade sloe gin wedding favours and a soul/funk band for the dancing later on in the evening. The starlit canopy over the dance floor provided a striking backdrop for shooting the wedding speeches against, and some dramatic dancing shot of the first dance .
