Lorna and Elliotts beautiful Cannizaro house wedding; a cosy winter wedding in Southwest London.
This wedding was beautifully photographed by a very good friend of mine (Vicky) after I tested positive for COVID-19 (not ideal, obviously, but I have a strong network of photographers that I can call upon, should anything happen to me). The bride got ready at home in Southwest London in the borough of Kingston and Sutton. They had a church wedding at the parish church of Saint Lukes in Kingston upon Thames, with priest Father Martin conducting the church ceremony.
After the traditional throwing of confetti on the bride and groom’s exit from the church, a couple of photographs were taken outside the church (I had a play around with Adobe’s new Sky replacement tool in post production) with their classic white London cab, before taking this taxi to Cannizzaro house in Wimbledon for their Cannizaro House wedding drinks reception.
Cannizaro House Wedding Reception
There were lots of couple portraits in the gardens of the hotel, as the weather wasn’t too bad for a January wedding before taking a few great photographs underneath the flower arch that Lorna and Elliot had decorated the hotel lobby with. There were also games for wedding guests in the room with the photo booth, and the decor involved lots of natural wildflowers with dark green, red, and dark blue colours. A three tiered white wedding cake, with a personalised cake topper of their two cats made for a great centrepiece along with the other personal touches like L&E in carnival lights. Packaged seeds were given out as wedding favours to the guests.
After the speeches and wedding breakfast Vicky captured some beautiful photographs of their first dance, along with the cutting of the cake and the bouquet toss.
