A few preview photographs from Oliver & Melanie’s wedding at Chapel Barn in Bolney, West Sussex. Things started out after the ceremony with bubbles instead of confetti, which looked amazing against the dark wooden slats of Chapel Barn.
We then went for a wander down to the lake for some photographs in the amazing surrounding woodland of West Sussex. The sunlight was perfect for picking up contrast and colour in the water and the dappled light through the trees was magical.
A meadow just next to the barn provided one of the most incredible backdrops for portraits I have ever worked with. The buttercups in the field were in full bloom giving a warm tone to the long grass of the meadow. Mel’s dress was beautifully complimented by a little backlighting and her swishing it around a little for the shot. With perfect sunshine all day, we were guaranteed a sunset that didn’t disappoint! We took a short, intimate walk back to the buttercup meadow for some golden hour portraits.
