This Christmas themed wedding at Farnham castle took rustic to a whole new level. The castle building is perfect with it’s stony walls and ancient timber, but it’s impeccably well managed and most areas have a sleek modern finish that makes a great wedding venue. Tom started out with me at a local hotel, for a couple of shots walking to town with the groomsmen and meeting Gemma for some bridal prep photos in the Gatehouse.
The ceremony was very quaint, with lots of flower decorations in jam jars and a pianist played Gabriel’s Oboe during the signing of the register. Red and silver colours decorated the reception and the centre pieces were all childhood photos of the bride and groom, a heartfelt personal touch. Bay and Christmas trees decorated the halls and entranceways and the cake was stylishly low key, with a just a wrapping of mistletoe.
The weather wasn’t on form, and after a small outing in the cold, the wind got the better of us, so we got creative with some lighting and the christmas trees to get some portraits. My favourite shots though, were on the dance floor, and it was obvious that these guys knew how to party when the music started playing.
