Karen & Craig were married at St Nicholas’ Church in Shoreham-by-Sea back in April. Karen wore a stunning cropped dress that caught the spring wind beautifully in quite a few images. I went with the Bride & Groom to Hove beach huts after the ceremony for some photos on the promenade in a stunning green Jaguar, driven by the lovely Peter from Chariots. The weather was perfect for an April wedding, if anything there was a bit too much sunshine, so I used a lot of flash to help balance the light but we had a cracking sunset later on in the day.
The reception at the Brighton Mercure Hotel had some great details in the decorations, including some coloured numbers for the tables (an idea that we had to steal for our own wedding!) LOVE letter shapes that had been handmade by the best man and lots of drums for the signs and card box. The groom is in a ‘The Who’ tribute band hence the drums and a few extremely cool wedding guests in excellent suits with even better hairstyles!
Check out the Best Man with his megaphone and pa system for the speeches (he was also super helpful at helping me organise the photos) and a wedding cake made out of doughnuts, a sweet and very beautiful alternative to the traditional.
