This wedding venue is very cool. It doubles up as a hotel, so all your guests can stay there too, which means that everything can be in one place, from the ceremony right through to the 2 o’clock in the morning drinks before bed! That may not be your style, but if it is, then this place is beautiful as well (what’s not to like?). Orchardleigh house is near Frome in Somerset and has some beautifully kept grounds and also has a stunning surrounding landscape with the longest driveway I have ever driven.
The wedding ceremony was held in the entrance hallway, which seems strange at first but it’s no different to a small chapel. The Bride had hired a barbershop quartet to sing songs for the signing of the register and the reception drinks. The fireworks at the end were certainly my favourite and provided a good challenge for some more off-camera flash work.
Check out the Groom ‘photo-bombing’ the bride as well as some beautiful shots taken in the grounds of the house. As it was Easter weekend, the colours of blue, yellow and orange worked nicely with some little bags of mini eggs! Yum!
