West Sussex Wedding Photographer – High Weald Wedding Photographer – Alexander House Hotel and Utopia Spa
Alexander House Hotel Weddings are set in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) of High Weald between East Grinstead and Crawley in West Sussex. This beautiful wedding venue is able to host weddings both inside and out, and offers stunning hotel rooms for bridal preparations beforehand. This West Sussex wedding venue is not to be underestimated for it’s photography opportunities!
The hotel’s room’s are exquisitely decorated, and are perfect for hanging up the wedding dress and bridal prep photography. The rooms are spacious, allowing for some creative wedding photography of the bride getting ready with make up and hair styling, the wedding details (shoes/rings etc…) and putting on the dress just before the ceremony!
The wedding ceremony can be held outside on the lawn, where a wooden gazebo stands at the bottom of a slight slope in the gardens of the hotel. The garden is enclosed with tall hedges and rhododendrons, meaning that the acoustics are quite good for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
The lawns on the other side of the building are great for the wedding reception. Confetti can be thrown in a quiet, private patio area, where drinks are served and an open space can be used for group photographs of the wedding party and family. The surrounding grounds and gardens of Alexander House Hotel offer lots of different wedding photography opportunities, including some lavender for foreground interest (below), various gravel pathways (which are also good in the winter season) for walking shots and the building’s arches and doorways are also great for wedding photography. Wedding Receptions in West Sussex
The wedding reception and breakfast suite features a beautiful curtain of fairy lights, which can be beautifully complimented with white flowers, candles, candelabras and glass vases. The fairy lights also work really well later on in the evening when the lights go down the first dance happens!
At golden hour, the sun starts to set over a stunning area to the east of the building, which overlooks part of the High Weald fields. Long lenses and some backlighting can create amazing photographs with a bit of creative input from your wedding photographer. This area is a bit more wild, with long grass and wild flowers overlooking the trees and fields of the surrounding AONB.
